Spiritual Rescue Mission

Spiritual exercise is very hard to see but is real and can be felt. It is meditating and applying the word of God in your daily life. It is open to anyone.  It is the greatest medicine any person can have in any country, any culture, and in any situation. It is the use of emotions and behavior which are affected by your attitude – how you think and how you feel – that help you overcome something inside you that is very, very difficult to deal with unless you are in good spiritual health.

I believe most people suffer from the things happening in this world. They make you upset. They start in our homes or our communities and often involve someone we trust and love. Sometimes it is mental, sometimes it is physical. In my years of research the word of the Lord Jesus Christ worked for me. It helped me when I felt that I had to be part of today’s lifestyle where everyone wants to feel popular like they are somebody else. The challenge of fitting in made me want to buy the right clothes, wear the right hairstyle and be a certain way so that I could have influence with others. Everyone was pretending they were someone they really weren’t. Partying. Drinking. Using drugs. It was fun to be around the scene but it led nowhere. It attracted negative spirits around me. It was by dedicating time to study the word that I began to realize I was not comfortable following the lead of others and I began to feel comfortable in my own skin.

In order to perform spiritual exercise we must study the word. Study the scriptures. Study the bible. The bible is the word of God. It will help you to renew your mind from day to day experiences and with all things you struggle with. I know the power of the word because slowly I began to surround myself with those who shared my desire to be myself. I never forget those who remain in this spiritual blindness and that is why this site came about. Studying the word has helped me throughout my life and it is in my heart for it to help you also in the same way. God Loves you. He showed his love through his son Jesus Christ. He came all the way to die for you and purchase all your sins through his crucifixion. He raised from the dead for your salvation. In John 14, verse 6 Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.”

Spiritual exercise is meditating the word of God every day, every night. John 15, verses 10 and 11: 10 “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my Love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.” 11 “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full.”

Here is where I started: Roman, Chapter 12. I turned my life to Roman Chapter 12 and started from the first verse. Please share with me a moment to follow these verses:  Romans Chapter 12, verses 1-4: "1 BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have note the same office."

Jesus said in Romans, Chapter 10, verses 9-13: 9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek; for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I believe if you pray this prayer with me with sincerity in your heart, you will be different. I know you will never be the same again. Please join me in prayer:

Father, I am a sinner. I repent for all the sins I committed. I believe in my heart Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. He rose from the dead for my justification. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Come into my heart. Come into my heart to be my Lord and my Savior and my God forever. I do now believe you, confess you and receive you as my God forever. Jesus, use me for your glory. Use me for my community. Use me for my church. Use me for my family. Use me for your will. Thank you Father, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

My encouragement for scripture.

  1. Do not worry about where to start reading, just read. Reading scriptures is dependent on inspiration of the holy spirit. The holy spirit will teach you.
  2. I encourage you, if you really want to know, to do it. Studying starts by your desire to learn. Faith does not come by reading alone. If you read the word, you are looking to change something about yourself. God is speaking to you, not your neighbor. We are all different, with different life experiences.
  3. Remember to focus on yourself when you study the word of God. When you feel changes in your thinking – SHARE IT!
  4. If you feel “stuck” on certain verses, relax. Pray on it. Ask the Lord to reveal to you the lesson that awaits you. Do not force it because you will frustrate yourself. You must be open to what is before you.
  5. As you read, take the bad out of your system and replace it with the good that you are reading by applying the word of God into your situation.
  6. Read aloud. Allow yourself to hear the Word of God.
  7. Do not be afraid to make notes in your bible.  This is a sign of true studying.  Mark it and remember it is YOUR bible!
