What is spiritual armor? Spiritual armor is the word of God. 

Armor is used for protection. Right now we are more defeated not in the sense of a war in the flesh, but in a spiritual war. I encourage you to read the word of God to guide you daily in your walk with the Lord.

In Proverbs 18:10 the word says "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runeth into it, and is safe. In Proverbs 18:27;28 the word says "He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding." This means the word of God gives you the knowledge and the wisdom to overcome those things that come your way against his will.

My spiritual armor has helped me my entire life. During my young adulthood, I shielded myself from the harms of self-abuse (smoking drugs, abusing alcohol, promiscuity, hate) and spiritual confusion. As an adult I faced more challenges (infidelity, curiosity, lustfulness, gambling, laziness, dishonesty). I knew I did not have to go through this because the word of God gave me the knowledge and wisdom to overcome these things that came my way against his will. You do not have to go through these things. If you are going through them, you do not have to go through them any longer. Just believe and obey his word.

The word of God as armor will be your daily shield built by your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, that comes from the power of his word in the holy bible. Below, are scriptures that will guide you as you study the holy bible in search of spiritual armor, and teach you to shield yourself from the harms that come your way against God’s will. I pray that you will continue to read and study the word of God every day because the armor, which is the word, can only shield you if you know it, apply it, and live in it.

Romans 13:12 "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light."

Psalms 3:3 "But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head."

Psalms 9:14 "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."
